Professional FOREX Trading Masterclass (PFTM)
If you’re here, it means you’re interested in learning more about the Professional FOREX Trading Masterclass (PFTM). Well, at least, you’re interested in hearing what I have to say about it.
Before I talk about the PFTM, I want to go over the basic structure of the education provided by Institute of Trading and Portfolio Management (ITPM):
ITPM offers mentorship programs with real professional traders who have been successful in making BIG money in their careers. These mentorship programs run for 3 months and you have a selection of mentors all around the world to learn from.
However, it would be silly to just offer mentorship programs without a base foundation. This is true for the student and the mentor. The mentors want to know the student understands the basics of portfolio management, things that aren’t worth teaching over and over again with 1-on-1 attention. The students would probably want to get an idea of what the program is about before spending multiple thousands of dollars.
This is where the online content comes in. There is the:
Introduction to Professional Level Trading (IPLT)
Professional Trading Masterclass (PTM)
Professional Options Trading Masterclass (POTM)
Professional FOREX Trading Masterclass (PFTM)
Here, I’ll be talking about the PFTM.
The truth is that the PTM is the main flagship online program while the PFTM is a side program that isn’t as popular. It isn’t because it’s a bad program.
Rather, the PFTM was made during a time when FOREX was popular and a lot of people were trading foreign currencies with insane leverage.
The fact is that FOREX trading is very challenging compared to stock trading and sometimes, the volatility isn’t there to make it worth the effort.
To trade FOREX well, you’ll want to be well versed in the governments of many different countries, their monetary policy, their trade policies, etc. There are probably many people who are well versed in those things. But if we’re being honest, most people aren’t too globally minded.
I actually took the PFTM course and found it immensely helpful. The reason why I took the course is because I noticed that a lot of my stock ideas were significantly affected by trade imbalances and other geopolitical issues.
As I was learning how to trade like a professional trader, I felt like a sitting duck if China did something crazy, or if Japan made a new policy on their bonds.
I decided to take the PFTM for the general education and everything started to make sense. It made me a more well rounded trader and I don’t regret the purchase (especially since I did the mentorship anyway and the purchase of the PFTM was deducted from my mentorship price).
I would not recommend it as a first course if you want to journey into trading professionally. This is the path I would recommend:
Take the IPLT
Learn to stop the bleeding and never wipe out while trading
Take the PTM
Learn how to understand the economy so you can find amazing opportunities in the market to fit into your well balanced portfolio
Take the POTM
Learn how to use options to manage your risk while also increasing your gains
Take the PFTM
Learn to stop the bleeding and never wipe out while trading
Mentorship
Do a mentorship program with a professional trader to teach you the things that can’t be learned through video.
NOTE All the money you spend from steps (1) to (4) gets credited to you for mentorship!
This course is best done after you’ve completed steps (1) to (3). It’s “optional” however, if you plan to do mentorship, I would recommend doing this course first before that. The reason is because mentorship is intense. You’ll want to bring your best foot forward in order to get the most out of it. It’s not “needed”, but it’s definitely a smart way to go especially if you plan to do mentorship anyway.
